Just when you thought a classic movie was safe from getting the reboot treatment, Universal has just announced that they will be moving forward with a new Jaws movie, starring Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.  It is unclear at this time whether this will be a sequel in any way to the original movie, or if it will take place in an entirely different continuity.  The series has remained dormant since Jaws: The Revenge in 1987.

No they didn’t, and you’re now remembering that today is April 1st.

But it’s definitely something that Universal (or any other studio) would try to pull.  And let’s not kid ourselves, today’s joke headlines are tomorrow’s actual headlines.
